RITZVILLE, Wash. – The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) announced that the Schrag Safety Rest Area on Interstate 90 is closed due to a water issue.

The closure began at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, when officials discovered there was no running water on the site. WSDOT has requested crews to address the issue, but there is no timeline for reopening.

Drivers near Ritzville are advised to seek alternative rest stops.
