LANSING, MI -- The sixth largest Powerball prize of all time is up for grabs Saturday night. The jackpot for the drawing on Aug. 30 is worth $1 billion, with a cash option of $453.1 million.

MLive will provide results of the drawing shortly after it takes place at 11 p.m. EST.

There have been 38 drawings without a jackpot winner, leading to tonight’s massive jackpot. The last time the grand prize was won came on May 31, when a player in California matched all five white balls and the red Powerball.

Powerball is offered in 45 States, Washington D.C., Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands. Players select five white numbers from (1 to 69) and one red ball (1 to 26). Tickets cost $2 each.
