ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Major events this weekend are drawing tens of thousands of people to downtown Atlanta.
It comes as MARTA has enhanced its safety measures to better handle large crowds.
From thousands dressed in cosplay for Dragon Con to die-hard college football fans at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta is jam-packed for the Labor Day weekend.
“It’s intense. Last year, I don’t think it was this many people, like it was a two-hour wait to get the badge,” said Allain Watson, who’s attending Dragon Con.
350,000 people are in the city.
MARTA is providing extra rail service for the events and many took advantage of it.
“It was alright. A little bit crowded, but I mean it was fine,” said one man who takes MARTA to Dragon Con.
