PRAIRIE DU SAC, Wis. (WKOW) -- The Wisconsin State Cow Chip Parade brought the community back into the spotlight Saturday. From the floats to the music, Main Street was filled with crowds celebrating the area's agricultural heritage and, of course, the cow chip.

The parade is about more than competition. It's a celebration of community, inclusion, and everyone who calls the area home. Just last week, a local LGBTQ+ group fought for and won the right to participate in the festivities.

"They were cheering and stopping and waving and just saying congratulations. It was just so beautiful," said Jamie Wallace.

Wallace, president of the South Central Queers and Equality Group, said the group also posted to their community page to let people know they would be collecting food for the Sauk Prai
