WARRICK COUNTY, Ind. (WEHT) -- The labor day celebration is the second longest running labor day event in the nation and the weekend is jam packed with events and activities for families to enjoy.

One of the big events of the celebration is the barbecue cook off. Ten teams from around the Tri-State area gathered on the fairgrounds to see who would walk away with the title of best barbecue and a $1,600 cash prize. Named after the three teammates, BBQ Barbecue is fairly new to the cookoff game. The team came from Jasper to compete on a small budget but with hopes to win big.

"The goal is to be competitive,” Kameron Birkle said. “So of course everyone wants to win and it would be good to see with the level of competition just to be competitive and hopefully get a couple spots and maybe take
