BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - It’s going to be a beautiful Labor Day across the viewing area! Look forward to plentiful sunshine and warm temperatures!
Highs are forecast to rise near 90 degrees in most neighborhoods, which is near normal for early September.
Mainly dry weather will persist this week; however, a stray shower or thunderstorm can’t be ruled out during the afternoon hours.
Thankfully, the Atlantic is unusually quiet, but that may come to an end in the coming weeks. For now, a tropical wave is moving off the coast of Africa and will enter the Atlantic. At this time, the disturbance has a low chance of tropical development as it moves west.
Warm, sunny weather will prevail through next weekend with minimal chances of rain.
