MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - The Marquette Neighborhood celebrated the 60th Orton Park Festival over the Labor Day weekend.
Many residents in the neighborhood consider the event to be an unofficial end to summer. The festival offers live music, local vendors and art projects.
Jen Plants lives in the neighborhood and helped put the event on. She says she loves to share her neighborhood with the rest of the community.
“This neighborhood is a great place to live, work and play and I love seeing people out here playing,” she said. “This is a moment to come together as neighbors, maybe meet some new people and dance and remember what it means to be human, which is to experience joy.”
The three-day musical festival showcased some of its history, including old invites and letters.
