MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - A Janesville resident was arrested for a 12th alleged offense of operating while intoxicated, the Janesville Police Department announced Wednesday.
The arrest happened around 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
JPD attempted to make a traffic stop, but the driver allegedly took off at high speeds. Officials said officers were able to use stop sticks and a pursuit intervention technique to bring the chase to an end.
Officers obtained a search warrant for the suspect’s blood, and the results are pending.
The driver, who was the only person in the vehicle at the time of the chase, was taken into custody.
Along with the 12th OWI offense, the 59-year-old Janesville man also faces charges of reckless driving, vehicle operator fleeing or eluding, resisting an officer causing injury
