NORMAN — Oklahoma football’s next game is its most significant nonconference matchup since it went to Ohio State in 2017, with Baker Mayfield and company emerging victorious.
No. 18 OU hosts No. 14 Michigan at 6:30 p.m. next Saturday, Sept. 6 and the Southeastern Conference Sooners will look to conquer another formidable Big Ten foe.
“It’s going to be two blue bloods battling against each other at the Palace on the Prairie,” said OU linebacker Sammy Omosigho. “College GameDay’s going to be here. It’s going to be a blast. It’s going to be a great game.”
Oklahoma opened the 2025 season by lambasting FCS Illinois State 35-3 on Saturday night. There comes a steep adjustment in the caliber of competition with Michigan arriving.
