Alberta Premier Danielle Smith expressed sentiments of provincial pride during Alberta Day celebrations at Heritage Park on Sunday.

Tens of thousands of people poured into Heritage Park for the third annual Alberta Day celebration, a free event hosted by the Government of Alberta and featuring the park’s historic attractions and live entertainment.

Addressing attendees, Smith called the occasion “a day to celebrate who we are and everything (Albertans) have accomplished together,” calling Alberta “the powerhouse” of Canada and the world.
