BENTONVILLE -- Cyclists and pedestrians coming into the city from Bella Vista or vice versa via the Razorback Greenway will have a safer, more sustainable way to get to their destination thanks to a grant of up to about $3.5 million.
The City Council voted 8-0 Tuesday to authorize the city to enter into a grant agreement with the Walton Family Foundation to fund the relocation of Wishing Springs Trail.
The council also unanimously authorized the city to enter into a more than $3.1 million agreement with Ground Zero Construction -- headquartered in Watts, Okla. -- for construction on the trail project. The Walton Family Foundation grant will cover the agreement, which includes bridge installation.
