Three people, including one minor, were killed in separate car crashes across the state Saturday, according to preliminary police reports.

The minor, an unidentified pedestrian, was killed on Sunset Drive in Fayetteville around 2:47 p.m. Saturday.

The pedestrian was crossing the road when they were struck by a 2024 Chevrolet traveling south, police said.

The investigating officer for the Fayetteville Police Department noted that the weather was cloudy and the road was dry.

About an hour later, one man died in a two-vehicle incident in rural Faulkner County where U.S. 64 meets Rooster Road.
