The U.S. Coast Guard's Forrest Rednour interdicted 13 migrants on board a 25-foot boat, 23 miles off of the coast of Point Loma on Thursday Aug. 28, according to a press release shared on their website .
The vessel was found at 5:45 a.m. with ten adults and three minors on board.
12 of the persons on board claimed to be of Mexican nationality, while one claimed that they were from Guatemala.
All 13 people were turned over to another DHS agency, and the vessel was confiscated by the Coast Guard, according to the USCG's press release.
