BERKELEY, Calif. (KRON) -- Rick & Ann's, a beloved Berkeley restaurant, will close its doors this Sunday after nearly 40 years of serving the community.

The restaurant, known for its Red Flannel Hash and Cardamom French Toast, has been a staple in the East Bay dining scene since its inception. While the restaurant will cease operations, Ann's Catering will continue to serve its loyal customers from a new commercial kitchen.

"So sad to see it go, we live in Marin now, we drove over just to say goodbye," said Gretchen Werner-Drake, a former employee who dined at the restaurant for the last time with her daughters.
