Erie's Hagen hires house-moving crew to pick and move historic mansion

Among the restored 19th century mansions on West Sixth Street, Gannon University 's Wehrle Hall seemed out of place.

The neighborhood, often known as Millionaire's Row, has been on the rise in recent years as Erie businessman and preservationist Thomas Hagen tackled one historic preservation project after another.

With its red steel panels and 1950s design, the Gannon dorm provided some architectural variety.
