Emmerdale's Mackenzie Boyd actor Lawrence Robb has disclosed that his cherished pet dog required urgent veterinary treatment recently.

The 34-year-old actor featured on Monday's instalment of Lorraine to discuss his ITV soap role amid a major storyline development involving John Sugden, portrayed by Oliver Farnworth.

Nevertheless, conversation quickly turned to Lawrence's delightful canine companion when presenter Lorraine Kelly remarked: "Your wee dog, who is adorable!"

Footage of Lawrence's dog then appeared, prompting Lorraine, 65, to exclaim: "Come on, the attitude! That is a wee dog that needs carried around!".
