A motorcyclist has died after a collision on a major Leicestershire road. Investigations are ongoing into the incident, with police urging anyone with footage to come forward.
The incident happened on the A6006 near Shoby, west of Melton , just after 4.30pm yesterday (Sunday, August 31). The collision involved a black BMW X7 and a blue Suzuki GSX R600 motorcycle.
Leicestershire Police said the rider of the motorcycle, a man in his 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A man in his 30s who was driving the BMW was not injured in the collision. Police said no arrests have been made and an investigation to establish the circumstances of the collision is continuing.
