A man has died after a fire at a Scots flat. ‌

Tragedy struck in Dundee at the weekend. ‌

The emergency services were called to the property in question on Saturday afternoon . ‌

The alarm was raised just after 1pm on August 30, with police officers and firefighters attending the scene.

The blaze took place at a property in Dee Gardens, in the city's Menzieshill area.

It took firefighters from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service nearly five hours to put the blaze out. ‌
