ANDERSON COUNTY, Tenn. — Update (12 p.m.): A woman is in the hospital and a man is facing several charges after a hit-and-run pedestrian crash this morning in Anderson County.

Deputies with the Anderson County Sheriff's Office said a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle around 1:15 a.m. on Monday in the Marlow area on Haney Hollow Road.

Officials said Wanda S. Phillips, 37, was taken to UT Medical Center for treatment.

Deputies arrested Timothy Black Jr., 21, from Oak Ridge and booked him into the Anderson County Jail around 9:15 a.m. According to his arrest records, he is facing numerous charges in the crash, including attempted first-degree murder, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, vandalism, leaving the scene of an accident, reckless driving, failure to maintain a lane and fail
