PIKE COUNTY, Ohio — A 78-year-old woman was killed in a crash in Pike County Sunday afternoon, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The crash happened at state Route 32 at U.S. 23 around 1:10 p.m.
According to OSHP, a 2018 Kia Cadenza was heading south on U.S. 23. The vehicle did not yield from a stop sign and was struck by a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado.
Two people inside the Cadenza were taken to Grant Medical Center. The passenger, identified as Wilma Taylor died from her injuries. OSHP did not say what kind of injuries the driver sustained.
The driver of the Silverado was treated at the scene by medics. A juvenile passenger was taken to Adena Pike Medical Center to be treated for injuries that were not life-threatening.
The crash remains under investigation.
