UK householders are facing yet another hike in supermarket bills. With everyone already suffering high prices at the checkouts, financial analysts say it's about to get worse.
According to experts, shoppers who buy their groceries at Tesco , Sainsbury's , Aldi , Lidl , Asda , and Morrisons will notice another "painful hike in food prices."
It's predicted that the cost of groceries could rise by as much as six per cent (year-on-year) by Christmas . Food inflation is already running at around four per cent, and the latest forecasts suggest it will shoot up further by the end of the year. That could leave the average UK household spending an extra £275 on food alone.
