SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- Several beaches in San Diego County are currently closed or placed under safety advisories for the Labor Day holiday.
The County of San Diego Department of Environmental Health and Quality reminds the public to avoid coming into contact with water in the following areas, which are closed due to bacteria levels exceeding health standards. • Tijuana Slough shoreline from the U.S.-Mexico border (closed since Dec. 8, 2021) • Silver Strand shoreline from north of Carnation Avenue to south of Avenida Lunar (closed since Aug. 31) • Coronado shoreline near Avenida Lunar (closed since August 31) • Imperial Beach shoreline from the south end of Seacoast Drive through Imperial Beach Pier (closed since Aug. 2)
