MACKINAW CITY, Mich. — Early mornings don’t bother Hannah Thomas.
“I got here at 4 a.m.," she told 13 ON YOUR SIDE in Mackinaw City.
At 85 years old, Thomas stepped onto the Mighty Mac Monday morning for her 50th bridge walk.
Consistently looking at her watch to pace herself, Thomas made it a point to keep a consistent speed while making the walk.
"It gets a little bit warm when the sun comes up, then you just start shedding your jackets," Thomas said. "Tie them around you, keep walking. Just keep walking with the crowd. I don't hurry at all."
Like years past, she walked halfway and then turned back, totaling around five miles walked.
Although she has her mind focused on her goal of finishing the walk, others couldn't help but notice her dozens of patches from previous bridge walks.
