A 19-year-old from suburban Glenwood drowned over the weekend at a public beach in Lake of the Ozarks, an incident report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.
The incident was recorded about 11:15 p.m. Saturday by MSHP Troop F at Public Beach 2 in Camden County, the report said.
According to the report, the victim, identified as a 19-year-old man from Glenwood, Illinois, went into the water without any safety devices and did not resurface.
He was pronounced dead by the Camden County Medical Examiner, the report said.
According to the MSHP, this is Troop F's fourth drowning in August, and seventh drowning of 2025.
No further details were provided.
