A Vermont man who had been reported reported missing on Friday was found dead on a riverbank in Sharon on Saturday.

Vermont State Police say they were first notified Friday that Raymond Arnold, of Northfield, had last been seen at the Northfield Senior Center around 5 p.m. Thursday.

The 66-year-old had reportedly left the senior center driving his black GMC truck. There was no indication Arnold was missing under suspicious circumstances but there were concerns for his welfare.

Police say Arnold was discovered dead on a riverbank near 272 Vermont Route 14 in Sharon on Saturday. His body was taken to the chief medical examiner's office for an autopsy to determine cause and manner of death, but this incident is not c
