An investigation is underway after a Massachusetts man's body was found in the water near Bremen Long Island on Sunday.

NBC10 Boston affiliate News Center Maine reports that 74-year-old Mark Metzger, of Waltham, was reported missing around 11:40 a.m. after his friends were unable to find him aboard his 19-foot sailboat, which was anchored off the western side of the island, according to Maine Marine Patrol.

A search was launched for Metzger by several agencies, including the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office, Maine Marine Patrol, Maine Forest Service and the U.S. Coast Guard.
