A school gymnasium collapsed over the Labor Day weekend in northern Missouri’s Davies County.
It happened Saturday night at the North Daviess R-III School in Jamison just before 9:00 p.m. when the east wall of the gym collapsed and took down the roof.
Superintendent John Rockhold told Missourinet affiliate KCHI in Chillicothe that the school board is meeting tonight to discuss the collapse.
“To figure out how exactly the education is going to continue, our main thing is protecting our students and staff,” he said. “We have yet to have structural engineers to come through and make sure everything else is safe and secure.”
