Passengers on a recent Virgin Australia flight heading from Bali to Brisbane were allegedly told to urinate “in bottles” after all the toilets onboard stopped working.

Flight VA50 departed Denpasar International Airport on Aug. 28 with only two functioning toilets for the six-hour flight to Brisbane Airport.

The flight proceeded as planned as there was limited engineering support in the city at the time.

But things took a turn when the remaining toilets on the Boeing 737 also malfunctioned and could not be used.

“Midway through the flight, every toilet failed. One elderly woman was unable to hold on and suffered the humiliation of wetting herself in public,” a passenger, who did not want to be identified, told The Australian .
