KNOX COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - A woman is dead after she was attacked by a pack of dogs.

According to the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, it happened around 2:30 p.m. Friday. We’re told a roaming pack of dogs attacked 44-year-old Priscilla Jones as she walked along Sandy Branch in the Flat Lick community.

Someone who knew Jones heard her screaming for help and called 911.

First responders found her with life-threatening injuries and unable to communicate. She was taken to Barbourville ARH Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

The sheriff’s office says the death investigation is ongoing.
