ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. (WNDU) - Crews are continuing to control and extinguish remaining hot spots after battling a large fire at a barn on Sunday evening in the western part of St. Joseph County.
It happened around 5 p.m. in the 27000 block of Early Road.
According to officials, at least nine different fire departments were called to help put the fire out.
Crews worked late into the night to bring the fire under control. Officials say they decided to return to the scene on Monday morning because there was still too much fire and smoke emitting from the destroyed barn.
Officials have not reported any injuries in the fire or any deaths to livestock.
