HONOLULU (Island News) -- The arson suspect in the Kunia brush fire was arrested for another arson on Friday after police barricaded his home in the Punchbowl area.

Antonio Vierra, 70, was released on Friday, Aug. 29, after posting $50,000 bail . This follows his arrest in connection to starting the fire on Kunia Road on Saturday, Aug. 23.

Honolulu police officers went to Vierra’s home on Friday evening to arrest him for another fire at Puaena Point Beach Park he is accused of starting. Vierra refused to exit his home when officers arrived, but he eventually complied and was taken into custody for second-degree arson.
