WINCHESTER, Ky. (FOX 56) — It takes a lot of prep work every year, but the Winchester community has always come together for the past 121 years to celebrate Labor Day in a big way.
First responders, marching bands, and crowds of spectators hit the streets of downtown Winchester for a huge Labor Day celebration and parade.
"This year, we had people come in from Georgia to sell jewelry, and we've got Kentucky State University's marching band here. The George Rogers Clark marching band is here. Simmons College and Louisville they're here as well. You see how far just around the community that we're spreading,” Aleisha Hampton, Winchester Labor Day committee, said.
Between all the community groups and their floats, this also brings in vendors to showcase what their communities offer. Sean a
