CHARLOTTE, N.Y. (WROC) — As students prepare to head back to the classroom, they are soaking up their last bit of sun at Ontario Beach Park.
Families shared hesitations, and aspirations about the upcoming school year.
Students told News 8's Leah Mallory that they look forward to connecting with friends, and learning, while parents say, safety remains top of mind.
“With kids going back to school, there is always concerns especially with the things we see going on around the country at schools,” says parent Roosevelt Caldwell. He visited the beach with his two sons. "Whenever my kids leave the house, they're always on my mind.”
