CANMORE – Eight people were rushed to area hospitals following a multi-vehicle accident on the Trans-Canada Highway in Canmore on Sunday (Aug. 31).
Alberta Health Services confirmed two adults are in life-threatening condition and six more adults suffered non-life-threatening injuries after the crash in the westbound lane near the Cougar Creek off-ramp (exit 91) on Sunday shortly after 1:30 p.m.
“EMS does not have an update on their current condition,” said Adam Loria, a public education officer with Alberta Health Services EMS, in an email on Monday (Sept. 1).
STARS air ambulance was dispatched and one woman was transported to Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary.
