SOLON, Iowa (KCRG) - Labor Day also marks the unofficial end of summer and the summer camping season.
A lot of people chose to spend their Labor Day out on the water at Lake MacBride, but TV9 spoke with one family that spent the weekend camping, and they were celebrating a lot more than just the holiday weekend.
Canoes, pontoons, and fishing boats filled the waters of Lake Macbride on Monday, but just up the hill, people at the park’s campsite are packing up from the long weekend, including Bentley Tucker and his family.
