As an exceptionally hot and dry August wraps up in Metro Vancouver, 1130 NewsRadio Meteorologist Carl Lam says the weather is here to stay for a bit longer.
“And as we look ahead to the first week of September, temperatures are still going to be above average,” explained Lam.
He says that as the kids head back to school, it will be warm for them in the classroom.
“We should be at 20 degrees for this time of year. Temperatures are going to be well above that as the kids head back to school and for the rest of this week.”
Lam explains that areas around the coast will see temperatures around the low 20-degree range.
However, Maple Ridge, Burnaby, and New Westminster are expecting temperatures to hit the upper 20-degree range.
