BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC ) - LABOR DAY: Say hello to Meteorological Fall!

Meteorological Fall begins September 1 every year and runs through November 30. But oh, my! What a hot day across central Alabama, with highs topping out in the upper 80s for part of the area. Expect a mix of sun and clouds through the evening, and while most of the day stays dry, a few isolated showers and a storm could pop up and linger into the evening. Tonight, lows dip back into the upper 60s.

LOOKING AHEAD: Our next big thing arrives Tuesday night into midweek, but the setup looks a little bit different than earlier forecasts. Rain chances stay on the moderate side, mainly for the northern and western half of central Alabama.
