BRISTOL, Tenn. (WJHL) - Around the country, including in Bristol, Tennessee, many people took to the streets for the 'Workers Over Billionaires' Labor Day protest.

The rally in Bristol was organized by several groups, including the Sullivan County Democratic Party.

Susan Whitlow said she's a member of the Sullivan County Democratic Party.

"Without labor, those billionaires would have, not zeros, zilch, goose egg," Whitlow said. "It's actually the workers who keep our country going, and so we're out here supporting workers on Labor Day."

Makalah Mullins is with TennVa UNITED.

"We're the ones that go and work every single day and make the money for these people," Mullins said. "The Tri-Cities I grew up in, we were there for our neighbor, and we still need to be today."
