BIG COUNTRY, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - In Texas, we take our hunting pretty seriously, but the start of dove season doesn't just mean the silence of the morning and evening hours being broken by shotgun blasts, as this time of year brings a significant economic boost to many of the Big Country's smaller communities.

Morgan Tibbetts is the owner of Coleman hunting supplies store MMT Supply, and said while many are home for the Labor Day holiday, she keeps her doors open for one of her biggest earning days of the year.

"Usually, the opening day of the season is our busiest day of the year, so I felt like I couldn't miss that. Just within the last couple of weeks, really, it's been picking up. I mean, if I didn't have the hunters coming into town, I don't know where my business would be," Tibbett
