GARRETSON, S.D. (KELO) — Labor Day Weekend is considered the end of summer for many people, which means different warm weather activities are wrapping up.

While it's starting to feel more like fall, there were still plenty of campers this Labor Day weekend.

"Labor Day is typically our third busiest holiday or third busiest weekend of the year. And it is very similar to the years in the past– I think we're about a percent down. But with the rain in the forecast, you know, that's not too surprising that they were what they were calling for," District Park Supervisor, Luke Dreckman said.

For the Schulte family, this is one of their first times camping on Labor Day weekend.

"We just got here yesterday, so we kind of just, like, made supper. Kind of hung around the campfire, made s'mores. J
