GRAVES COUNTY, Ky. (KFVS) - A Heartland first responder was injured in a crash over the weekend while responding to a fire.
According to the Graves County Sheriff’s Office, Mayfield Graves Fire-Rescue Squad’s Chief David Warner was involved in a vehicle crash on Sunday evening while responding to a brush fire.
They said he was flown to an out-of-state hospital for treatment.
The sheriff’s office said as of Monday, Chief Warner is awake and responding.
Mayfield Graves Fire-Rescue is asking the community to keep the chief in their prayers.
