UPDATE : September 1 at 2:56 p.m.
A new update from Connor Nikkola, Public Information Officer with the Department of Natural resources, confirmed the Crown Creek Fire has grown to over 3,100 acres in size.
The Blackhawk Mountain Fire is burning 372 acres.
Nikkola also said it's possible the two fires will merge sometime tonight or tomorrow.
Rough terrain as well as hot and dry conditions are making firefighting efforts difficult.
An estimated 125 structures and 170 people have been threatened and impacted by the fires.

The Crown Creek fire has grown to around 1,417 acres in size and remains 0% contained.
