SPARTANBURG, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The City of Spartanburg announced that former mayor Junie White has died.

White was 87-years-old. He previously served one term representing District 4 before he was elected mayor in 2009. He was re-elected in 2013 and 2017.

Officials said, “His selfless dedication to our city and its people has created a legacy that will last for many generations to come.”
