One person was hospitalized after a boat caught fire Monday on the Allegheny River.
Post-Gazette news partner KDKA reported the fire happened around Harmar Township, near the Pennsylvania Turnpike bridge.
The boat came from Fox Chapel Yacht Club, and Blawnox Assistant Fire Chief Jim Vento told KDKA the boat had just refueled with about 160 gallons before the fire broke out.
Mr. Vento told KDKA that three people were on the boat at the time. At some point, two people jumped off the boat; one of them suffered injuries, Mr. Vento said. The injured person was taken to a hospital and was "slightly" burned, Mr. Vento told the news station.
KDKA reported that the boat continued to burn and the top section eventually collapsed into the bottom.
According to KDKA, crews were containing the fuel
