SUMTER, S.C. (WIS) - Police are investigating after one person was injured in a Monday evening shooting in Sumter.

The Sumter Police Department said that the shooting happened around 7:30 p.m. in the wood line of the 1300 block of Broad Street and was between two men.

According to deputies’ initial investigation, the two men allegedly knew each other beforehand, and a dispute led to the shooting.

One of the men involved was injured and taken to a local hospital.
