BARTOW COUNTY, Ga. — Georgia State Patrol said four people were taken to the hospital, including a 7-year-old boy who was ejected from a car, after a hit-and-run crash that caused a three-hour delay on Interstate 75 south in Bartow County on Monday.
Around 4:30 p.m., troopers were called to the incident that left all lanes blocked at the Emerson-Allatoona Road exit, which is mile marker 281.
According to GSP, a white Toyota Camry was hit by a white passenger car while traveling north on I-75 in the middle northbound lane. Following the incident, troopers said the passenger car kept driving down I-75.
This caused the Camry to travel into the left northbound lane, striking a white Chevrolet Suburban, GSP officials said. Both vehicles then drove into the median and through a cable barrier.
