Hundreds of people gathered at a pro-democracy rally commemorating Labor Day at Muller Plaza in Oneonta on Monday, Sept. 1.
The event was co-sponsored by Cooperstown Oneonta Indivisible, a local chapter of the nationwide group Indivisible — a progressive movement which formed in late 2016 in response to Donald Trump’s election, but picked up more steam in the wake of Trump’s re-election in 2024.
