ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Two UNM professors have launched an exhibit at the National Hispanic Cultural Center highlighting six New Mexican artists. Dr. Irene Vasquez and Dr. Ray Hernandez-Duran started the project Voces Del Pueblo seven years ago to advocate for their graduate program.
As a part of the 50th anniversary of the founding of Chicana and Chicano Studies, the exhibit opened at the cultural center, featuring six artists, former students of New Mexico Highlands University, showcasing works of advocacy, artistic expression, and community.
