LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Some people in Downtown Lexington made their voices heard on Monday. They did so at the ‘People over Billionaires’ protest.
People and labor organizations gathered at the Fayette County Courthouse to protest on a range of issues.
“Workers built this country, and workers are losing their rights left and right,” said Laura Hartke, an organizer for Monday’s event.
For organizers like Laura Hartke, the message is simple.
“Organize, to use your voice to stop the billionaire takeover,” said Hartke.
