HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - The Kentucky Blood Center is hosting multiple blood drives throughout the region in the days to come.
The first drive will be on Sept. 5 from 1:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Perry County Public Library.
The second drive will take place in Neon on Sept. 6 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Whitesburg will have two blood drives, both happening on Sept. 10. The first will be at Mountain Comprehensive Health from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. The second will be at Whitesburg ARH from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m
Organizers say one in four people will need a blood transfusion in their lifetime, making blood donations crucial to help save lives.
Those who donate blood will receive a T-shirt from KBC as a thank you.
